The color of the ice in the icebergs varies based mostly on where it calved off the glacier - ice from the middle of the glacier will be a more vivid blue because of its clarity; ice from the bottom and sides will have more moraine (dirt and rocks) and will be cloudier; ice from the top will be whiter.
